Carnival Tokyo x Kinfolk Fixed Gear Bike

As an emerging bike-brand, Kinfolk looked to one of Japan’s most respected and established Keirin bike builders in Kusaka to produce and manufacture the brand’s frames. With few possessing the necessary knowledge, patience and understanding required to build a bike of this quality, Kinfolk’s offerings are undoubtedly something that won’t easily escape your mind. Teaming up with another respected entity in bike shop Carnival Tokyo, together the two release a co-branded fixed gear bike featuring a Kinfolk frame and Carnival Tokyo components. Sony Playstation 3 Slim

It looks like Sony continue their traditional system slimming with the announcement of their new Playstation 3 Slim. The top-notch video game system will now retail for $300, while still maintaining the same feature as its bulkier counterpart. Gizmodo breaks down some of the juicy details:

The slim will come with a 120GB drive, and will be 32% smaller and 36% lighter than the standard PlayStation 3, as well as using 34% less power. The $300 price will apply to all PlayStation 3s starting tomorrow. The Slim will be available everywhere by the first week of September.

The 80GB PS3 (current model) will be discounted to $300, whereas the 160GB PS3 will be $400. There will be a new PS3 logo as well as modifications to the official name from PLAYSTATION 3 to PlayStation 3 as to not be shouting all the time. It’ll also have a BRAVIA Sync feature that’ll allow you to control the PS3’s XMB with your Sony TV remote as long as they’re connected via HDMI. And the TV will automatically turn off the PS3 when the TV goes off.

There’s also a vertical stand retailing for $24 on September 3. Whether or not you can stand it up vertically for long periods of time without the stand is unknown. Sony also says that they’re eliminating the feature of installing other operating systems on the Slim, so no more Linux. Oh, and there will only be two USB ports.

Bell & Ross - IPhone & IPod Touch App

A relatively newcomer in the vaulted community of luxury timepiece, Bell & Ross set forth a focus on how watches function rather than its aesthetics. Comprised not only of seasoned watchmakers but also aerospace engineers, the design team’s ultimate goal is create timepiece that would truly withstand punishments taken in a real-world environment. Hence, like the aeronautical gauges they’re fashioned after, Bell & Ross considers its timepieces as “instruments” rather than watches.

Porsche - 2010 Panamera

At the famed Pebble Beach Concourse d’Elegance this year, one of the world’s most coveted performance car makers, Porsche, released its most controversial product to date– a four door sedan, the 2010 Panamera. While this may be a bold move for Porsche, the sedan is well received and opens new doors for the auto maker along with its slow merger with Volkswagen.

Unlike most Porsche vehicles but just like other sedans, the 400 horse-power, 4.8L engine is front mounted and comes in a turbo version that can go up to 500 horse-power as well. In terms of aesthetics, the Pebble Beach Concourse d’Elegance was the perfect backdrop for the unveiling of a new to-be classic model that is both wide and low. For enthusiats, the fact that the new Panamera is hand-sculpted as opposed to how most cars on the market are created today should be an attractive point aside from the elegant dramatic proportions.
