Opening Party !!!

On a hot humid night in Hong Kong many of the Hong Kong’s celebrities gathered with international guests for the special invite only NOWHERE opening party the night before its official public store opening. The three hour party was hosted by none other than NIGO and Jun Takahashi along with TET from WTaps on the decks breaking out eclectic mix of beats from 90’s hip hop to punk and rock to ska and noise music that truly expressed the individuality of each DJ.

As guests arrived through dozens of photographers waiting outside at the entrance of the modest sized venue, a members only private club Roxie soon filled up and guests enjoyed endless flow of beverages from the wide selection. At one point the club was so packed that it was literally a shoulder to shoulder affair and as NIGO stepped into the DJ booth, the party took off to another level. Followed up by TET and Jun Takahashi on the decks. The friendly hosts took time to chat and take photos with fans, which provided a good vibe to the evening. By the end of the night the party had overflowed onto the outside streets as guests mingled and almost forgot about the humid weather.

A Nightmare On Elm Street | Trailer

For those who grew up nodding to the glorious New Wave and Synthpop of the eighties, the image of Fred Krueger slowly slicing an unwilling victim’s flesh open with his hand full of blades should be a familiar affair. As the remake of the horror movie classic, A Nightmare on Elm Street, had been highly discussed and anticipated, many wonder how Michael Bay and Samuel Bayer would fare in recreating the movie. To answer that very pressing question for fans and those who were significantly disturbed by one of horror film’s most notorious antagonists, the trailer to the 2010 remake was just released yesterday. While the movie isn’t set to release until April 2010, the trailer should be a fun prep for the upcoming Halloween festivities.

Ato Matsumoto - Spring/Summer 2010 Collection

Spotted at Rendez-Vous (trade show that traveled from Paris to NYC and just ended a couple of days ago at La Venue on 28th Street and 12th Avenue) are new items that can be anticipated next season from Ato Matsumoto. Other than the usual suspects of chunky hi-top Velcro-strapped sneakers of high drama in shiny patent leather and studs, we see some contrasting subtle apparel pieces from the line. A simple jacket paired over a light grey hoodie makes an appearance at the collection preview; some summery button downs in chambray with contrast button plackets also makes for a more sophisticated take and break from the loud kicks many love from Ato Matsumoto. Check out the pictures from the trade show as we wait for more information about the upcoming collection!!

  1. The type of clothes you should wear to work depends on what kind of profession you are in, your company's dress policy, and your fashion sense. For example, if you are a teacher, you might wear either a knee-length dress or a dress shirt with navy, khaki, or white slacks. Or if you work in construction, a casual shirt, work boots, and jeans would be appropriate. A good fit, unripped and unsoiled clothes of moderate styling make an appropriate look.
