AFFA 2009 Fall/Winter New Releases
Jun Takahashi previews a couple of designs for Fall/Winter 2009 from his part-time brand AFFA (Anarchy Forever Forever Anarchy), created in collaboration with fellow fashion icon Hiroshi Fujiwara. Two different styles are set to drop soon, including a simple striped button-down and raglan long-sleeve featuring their trademark grid pattern motif seen on a good portion of items with the new season. Both shirts will see a drop at UNDERCOVER flagship locations.
Disney x NEIGHBORHOOD BIG BAD SAVAGE DENIM
Joining Supreme as collaborators with Disney this season, October will see NEIGHBORHOOD unveil a co-branded pair of Disney denim. Coming in as the BIG BAD . SAVAGE . DP MID / 14OZ-PT, the jeans come in signature NEIGHBORHOOD distressed form with additional Disney relevant patches on the lap-area. Dr. Romanelli reveals his latest toy release alongside Medicom Toy and Sanrio. The vinyl creation pairs the doc’s signature style with that of iconic character Hello Kitty. Offered below is some text behind the inspiration for the project:
The inspiration for this release is based off a hospital volunteer sometimes referred to as a candy striper. This name is derived from the red-and-white striped jumpers that female volunteers traditionally wore, which resembled sticky candy. Candy Stripers originated as a high-school civics class project in East Orange, New Jersey, in 1944. The uniforms were sewn by the girls in the class from material provided by the teacher – a red-and-white-striped fabric known as “candy stripe”.
The Standard x SE Bikes Limited Edition PK Ripper
The PK Ripper Fixed Gear is the 3rd installment in a series of limited edition bike projects from DC and SE Racing. Within this run of 1,000 (in the US), The Standard has micro customized twenty of these PK Rippers to reflect the New York hotel’s signature black and gold style. Fifteen bikes will be available for complimentary use by The Standard New York hotel guests while five are available for purchase now at The Standard’s online shop for $1,250 USD.
Details include: A matte black frame complemented with gold details, anodized gold front rim and small gold logo badge on the seat tube, and a Standard logo is embossed into the custom leather seats. The Standard’s version also has a reversible back hub and rim that allows the bike to easily convert from fixed to freewheel as well as Floval tubing, a Landing Gear fork, a looptail rear end.
Dr. Martens 2010 Spring Footwear Preview
Emerged in 1960, the classic 8-eye boot by Dr. Martens will celebrate a milestone year as it turns 50 years old. Although they are not the original black leather, these newly invented “8-eye’s” are sure to become an icon of its own with seven lively colors: cru, yellow, red, purple, blue, green and black. And while the top may seem to be made of canvas, it is actually water-resistant leather giving the illusion of a canvas material. Among the modern additions or readjustments to the OG boots, are the flat white sneaker-like laces, white contrast stitching and white soles. These highly anticipated boots are part of the Spring/Summer 2010 collection, and they will surely be off the shelves in a very short time, so don’t blink twice and make sure to keep your “Soles Bouncing”.
Billionaire Boys Club x The Blueprint 3 T-Shirt Set
After giving us a peek into the “So Ambitious” version, Billionaire Boys Club unveil all three designs from the brand’s The Blueprint 3 lineup. Although each version shares familiar imagery, each reflects a different message, with a couple featuring backside graphic hits. The “So Ambitious”, “ABC”, and “I’m On A Mission” tees will see a release on September 23rd within BBC/Ice Cream Japan. A US release can be expected as well. Retail is set at ¥7,140 (Approx. $78 USD).Nike Sportswear Terminator Hi ENG - Black - White
Nike Sportswear is releasing a new Terminator Hi ENG in Black and White that has a striking resemblence to the HTM Air Force 1 from a few years back. This Terminator Hi features a reptile embossed leather in Black on the entire upper and the lace loops for the shoelaces look like ones you might find on a pair of hiking boots, to make the shoes more comfortable for the upcoming Fall and Winter months, Nike Zoom Air has been included in the heel of the shoes. Nismo - 2010 Nissan 370Z
The 2010 Nissan 370Z may or may not be on top of the wanted list of cars but this Nismo version could win you over with added extras that improves on the standard version. Nismo is the motorsport division of Nissan and develops for all sorts of serious motorsport Nissan participates in, so it is fair to say that when they release something, it is usually for the enthusiasts and not the general public. The difference is visible with full body kit and Nismo 19 inch forged wheels giving a more aggressive look and stance. Under the hood ECU has been fine tuned increasing the power by 18hp outputting 350hp at 276 lb ft of torque. Add to that all new suspension system, sway bars and LSD makes it a truely amazing vehicle to drive.
